You are my hero. I know you will always speak/write the Truth, and seek justice in your pursuit of what used to be the "American" way. Keep fighting the good fight, Dan, we all need you now more than ever.

Thank you, my young friend. There are a lot of good people out here, trying to do the right thing. . . . And I fear that we are going to get creamed.

Just to be clear, Godfrey Hodgson, went way beyond the pale. . . . . The Washington Post published his lying review of my book on June 25, 1995. And the damage he caused to me and my work continued without challenge until Book World got around to publishing my reply nearly a month later on July 16, allowing this fabulist to respond in writing with more lies at the end of my published reply to him. . . . And then the book-chat crowd at the Post refused to publish my response to his lying reply while refusing to mediate the dispute--even after I gave Nina King, then the editor of Book World, all of my documentation of Hodgson's fabrications. . . . It is no secret, especially after Moldea v. New York Times, that I still believe that reforms are needed in the log-rolling land of book-reviewing. . . . There are pros out there, like Steve Weinberg, a well-known and respected author, who has a long history of reviewing books with honor and integrity. And then there are those, like Godfrey Hodgson, who use book reviews to defame at will.
